Jeffrey Stewart Hart

Jeff specializes in Family Law and Child Protection matters.

About Jeff

Jeffrey Stewart Hart was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He attended A.N. Myer Secondary School, where he graduated as an Ontario Scholar in 1989. Jeff attended McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario where he graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies with highest honours, “summa cum laude” in 1993.

After graduating from McMaster, Jeff worked a variety of jobs including test grader for the English portion of the EQAO, and as a settlements and reconciliations clerk at a Bay St. investment firm before deciding on a different path. Jeff attended Queen’s University where he earned his LL.B. in 2004. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2005. Jeff articled at a small firm in the Niagara Region, then decided to open his own practice in Oakville, while residing in Toronto. He joined Furlong, Collins, Fitzpatrick, a full-service boutique firm in Milton, Ontario, as an Associate in 2010. After another short stint as a solo practitioner, Jeff joined the Halton Children’s Aid Society as Counsel in 2015. After his contract was up, he joined a fast-paced Family Law boutique firm in Markham, where he dealt with high-conflict Family and Child Protection files both through litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. After several years at that firm, Jeff has recently joined Creighton Law LLP as an Associate focusing on Family Law and Child Protection matters.

Sadly, Jeff has no discernable musical talent, and absolutely no physical gifts that would allow him to excel in any sport (although he enjoys watching hockey and baseball). He is a decent cook and has been given the unofficial title of “Grillmaster” by his family for his BBQ skills.

Jeff is in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, 2005 – Present.
